Deposit (investment) is monetary means in national or in foreign currency, handed by the owner or by the third person by proxy and at the expense of the owner to the bank for saving on terms and conditions fixed in the agreement, with compulsory return to the investor. Means on investment (deposit) accounts of individuals can be placed in cash, transferred from a personal deposit account or from a current account in national or foreign currency.

•Individuals' deposits Guarantee Fund increases maximum amount of compensations on deposits up to UAH 150 000.

Dear depositors, amount of funds compensation on individuals' deposits, including interests, at the expense of Individuals' deposits Guarantee Fund was increased from UAH 50,000 to UAH 150,000 according to the Law of Ukraine "On first-priority measures concerning prevention of negative consequences of financial crisis and on amending some legislative acts of Ukraine" No 639-VI dated October 31, 2008.
