Pair Euro/US dollar reached the next minimum
Overview of FOREX market as of Tuesday, August 26, 2008
Pair Euro/US dollar reached today the next minimum for the last half-year, as well as the mark USD 1.4570 per 1 Euro. Today GBP 1 was sold against USD 1.8328. The last time British currency had the same price in the midst of July 2006. Swiss franc reached today the lowest mark against US dollar from February of the current year.
During the first half of the day Euro and European currency were heavily impacted today by data on business climate index in Germany. Rate decreased to 94.8, while waiting at 97.1. After release of this news, the US dollar strengthened. At American session opening, the US dollar started to fall, after it became known that house prices in USA are decreasing by record speed.
